What does a wedding DJ cost?
Quotes for a wedding DJ in Denmark vary a lot. On online job marketplaces, four hours of music is often offered from around DKK 6,000, while a DJ who brings a full production of sound, light and booth costs more. Here is what drives the price, and what to ask before you book.
What the price depends on
- HoursThe standard is four hours of DJ on the dancefloor. Every extra half hour adds to the price.
- DJ only or with equipmentSome venues have club-standard DJ equipment and sound. Most weddings need the DJ to bring sound, light, booth and microphone – which is a big part of the price.
- Number of guestsAbove roughly 150 guests the room needs a much bigger sound system and more light.
- Live musiciansLive saxophone or percussion on top of the DJ set is an add-on.
- ExtrasMoving heads, confetti cannons and separate sound for the ceremony are typical add-ons.
My price
My weddings start from DKK 10,000. That covers 12 years of experience reading a dancefloor, and – with the equipment package – a top-series RCF sound system, a programmed light show, my signature DJ booth, a wireless microphone and set-up on your schedule. Five questions to ask before you book
- Is sound, light and a microphone for speeches included?
- Who sets up, and when – before the guests arrive?
- How do we plan the music: must-plays, no-go songs and the first dance?
- How many hours are included, and what does extra time cost?
- Has the DJ played weddings before – and what do the couples say?
