Daniel Vejlgaard

DJ since 2014, with residencies at some of Copenhagen’s most respected venues. Each with its own music profile — together they have given me the range and technical confidence your guests can feel from the very first song.

It started around 2004 with three albums, and in 2014 a Copenhagen bar hired me as DJ on music knowledge alone. Since then I’ve played clubs, company parties and weddings, always with the same aim: read the crowd and build the night.

Twelve years across these genres is what makes the difference on the night: reading the room, mixing techniques that move between genres and eras without breaking the energy, and selecting the right song at the right time.

The silos show where I’m strongest, not everything I play. No two events are the same, so we always align expectations beforehand: your crowd, must-plays, no-go songs and the important moments. That way we both know it’s the right match.

    At Dorsia, hip hop and EDM/house for a crowd that came to party. At Bar 7, house and electronic music with a steady groove that keeps the floor moving all night.

    I started offering corporate events with a focus on Friday bars, and have since played for many large companies.

    Disco, funk and R&B in the middle of Kødbyen: warm grooves and the classic dancefloor anthems everyone knows.

    First DJ job · Den Glade Gris

    A friend worked as a runner at the bar and they needed a DJ. I got the job on music knowledge alone, with zero experience on real DJ equipment, and played many weekends there over the next three years.

  9. 2006

    FutureSex/LoveSounds

    Justin Timberlake’s album tied it all together: ballads, R&B and rap with an electronic sense. It got me into dancing and drums for many years.

  10. 2004

    Three albums that started everything

    I fell in love with music through Maroon 5’s Songs About Jane, Nik & Jay’s first two albums and 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
